A whole summer of camp skits, talent shows, pool days, arts and crafts, sports and games, cooking and making, exploring and building, and creating lasting memories with friends.
CITs: Our counselor-in-training program is for rising 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders–those who have aged out of day camps, but are still bursting with camp spirit and are ready to step into a larger role; one with new responsibilities and challenges.
The CITs spend their summer bonding through team-building activities, practicing leadership skills, and assisting counselors to create special moments with campers. This summer, the CITs will spread their impact to the greater Sellwood community by bringing the summer magic to Sellwood Park’s Craft Shack.
Whether you are new to the CIT experience or have a few summers under your belt, we believe every participant will find this program fun, engaging, and fulfilling. Here at SCH, CITs will have the opportunity to be the confident, compassionate leaders we know they are!
