Outdoors

Would you like to meet a chicken, discover where a frog makes its home, watch wild birds build their nests? Each day at Farm Camp, we adventure around to care for the plants and critters that live here. We taste farm-fresh fruits + veggies we’ve grown. We play games, sing songs — then we’ll grab our boots and head down to the wetland to see what the dragonflies and tadpoles are up to. Get ready to play outside!

My child attended for 5+ years at Zenger Farm camp. They are wonderful with their programming. They are very inclusive, as my kid is non-binary and they respect pronouns. They have flexibility for Neurodiversity as well, offering support and accomodations for campers who need it. My child loved this camp and will try to be a camp counselor someday.

They have some structure and routine, nice balance of playing on playground, arts n crafts, circle time, activities etc. They have experienced counselors and leaders, but they don’t provide food/lunch. They have previously had sliding scale costs and placed importance on affordability and quality programming. I would recommend this camp to anyone who’s kid is interested in nature, farm, food, animals or outdoor education.

My only gripe (and it’s small) is their lack of parking lot. It’s always a struggle to get in and parked. Area isn’t the best, we don’t feel very safe parking on Foster Rd. Their parking lot is just pretty small, and it fills every day at drop off and pick up. Literally nothing else to say negatively about Zenger, we had an amazing experience each year with them. Look to register early, I start checking in Feb, they fill up quickly. They also have monthly open farm days for families to check out the grounds and meet the staff, and ask questions or get a feel for them, with a fun activity planned.
